i am happy to know that the keyless chuck would produce this problem, cos i was planning to buy this for my dad, and after seeing this review, i will try to find another drill that does not have a key less chuck and has another better method to hold the driver.

Glad this video helped you out. Dewalt and Milwalkee bolth make good cordless drills and have a much better chuck design.

The point I'm Trying to make is who wants to buy a tool for $60.00 and then have to buy a $30.00 Chuck for it? Then buy couple more batteries at $50.00 a pop? You could have bought the Dewalt or Milwaukee that is a far better tool that will last much longer. You really get what you pay for.

If the drill motor is satisfactory in power for your needs and you have several batteries to use Jacobs most likely makes replacement chucks you can put on that drill that would make it a lot better.

That sucks, my 5 year old 7.2 volt B&D never had a problem with the chuck. I abused the hell out of it, even though it barley has enough torque to drill. I've seen this drill along with a battery and charger for $29. Don't need it, but I already have 2 batteries form an old trimmer that will work in it. Would be good for driving screws I guess.

Yeah there not so good now got the 18v black decker lithium ion battery hammer action ok for the house good for the diy side no problems yet. Got some masonry jobs to give it a test.
