Here after reading the Premier Guitar article too. I already have two PF15R with Eminence Ragin' Cajun 10" speakers...best solid state amps I've ever had.

Shows why you do not need a $3000 amp to sound great. (Don't need a $3000 guitar either) ;) It's all about knowing "how to" and using your equipment smartly.

Been telling people how great this amplifier is for years!!! Along with the fact most clubs are quieter, everywhere there P/A systems….why would you need anything bigger???

Thanks to Premier guitar I got here too. Carroll is very "alternative" sounding from the early 90s. I like it as its very accessible guitar playing unlike the 80s with virtuostic over the top players that most couldn't match. As far as the amp, got to get one. Not a waste of money as they can be had cheap. The problem is finding one. I am especially curious with the built in tremolo. I have a Vox AC10 that is pretty loud but still small but NO tremolo. Disappointing. I rented an AC15. Too heavy. Too loud. But has that tremolo which is integral to any Vox.
