I feel like this popped up on my feed at the right time lol. A few years as staff in (various) industries but public has always been in the back of my mind

Very grounded advice, Bryan, but also encouraging! The transition between sectors (public vs private) is challenging.

As you said, there are upsides to both, depending on each individual's goals.

how do you feel about governmental accounting? I just landed an internship with a firm in their state and local government audit team. Governmental accounting seems like a very underrated and slept on career path to me they didn't really go into it too deeply in any of my college classes but there seems to be a decent amount of opportunity out there in that area decent paying jobs. Seems like state auditors and accounting/finance people who work in my state government all get pension plans and really good benefits.

Hey I am brand new to a public firm. I have been assigned to do an inventory count but when I emailed where to prepare I have not received an answer. Do you have any tips so I don’t let the team down?

Thank you so much, this is the video I need as an early stage industry professional who’s trying to transition into PA. Do you think PA firms prefer hiring recent graduates over non-PA experienced hires for entry level audit roles? Also do you think Associate responsibilities will be limited as firms continues to offshore to countries such as India or the Philippines as cost of labor whether due to inflation continues to increase? Thanks again, Bryan!
