Acrylic Painting Tutorial | How to Paint Cherry Blossoms

Come paint cherry blossoms with me in this, step by step, acrylic painting tutorial. This lesson is perfect for beginner-intermediate artists. Make sure to have fun painting and be creative!

Here are the Steps to Painting Your own Cherry Blossoms.
Step 1: Paint Background
Step 2: (optional) Add splatters of pink or white
Step 3: Paint Branches (sometimes I call them stems)
Step 4: Paint Flower buds
Step 5: Paint Open flower (sometimes I call them blobs)
- round the edges of your blobs like petals
- add white to lighten your flowers and add highlights
- add middles with yellow
Step 6: Be creative and add your own personality to it!

Hi recently started following you, missed you when you made it to little olde Delaware!! And we are only minutes away from where you guys were !! Nice work & tutorials..thanks. Can I ask your brushes are white, on link they are brown .. are they the same? Do they have nice snap, not soft. Lots of acrylic are to soft (in my mind harder is better to work with - but u the boss) .. can you share your advice.. thanks 👏

At around the 8 minute mark this video really goes off the rails. I was following along nicely until she picked up the white. She really needs to explain how she picks what is a flower, where she's putting the white and why. She just says
i'm going to work quick and be loose with it" and then it's impossible to follow along painting with the video after that. THings just appear on the painting with no warning or explanation.



Instead of saying "ok just work fast and do whatever you want" is not something you should be saying over and over on a TUTORIAL video. As a demo this may be fine but as a "tutorial" there should be a lot more explaining what and why you are doing something.



Not trying to sound like a jerk but i was really going good and was excited for where my painting was going but then it just became impossible to follow along with. I am a beginning to intermediate painter and this video i found not helpful
