As much as Waporwave kinda counts as plagiarism art, it did an amazing job with some songs that are either ok but lack something, or 50% of it sucks but it has some tasty parts. Or are awesome, but why not to add some more spice. Gloria Estefan's original version is ok, but to me personally it sounded kinda weak on its own, mostly because it felt a bit too fast for its atmosphere, as if everyone was rushing to record it ("Conga" is an amazing and perfect song tho). The slower tempo added more intimacy and melancholy this song needed. Before I learned about the full concept of Waporwave, I thought it's actually an 80's inspired band with a male lead vocal (for the record, I heard this before I found out about the original). I'm glad this edit got a full version.
