I had surgery 20 years ago and wow completely changed my life, UNTIL ten days ago. Been out of work for two weeks now with this new sinus infection. This shit is no joke. Completely takes you out.

..what I found immediately effective for my blocked up sinus was a neil nasal rinse bottle that I added a level teaspoon of table salt and a level teaspoon of baking soda (you may want to start by using half those amounts) to and then filled the bottle with lukewarm water - spraying it into both nostrils ( I pinch my nostrils closed and tilt my head backwards for a few seconds before releasing) - this cleaned out more phlegm than anything else I ever tried ! Afterwards you'll need lots of tissue!

Unbeknownst to me until recently, I've had a chronic sinus infection for over a year. The yellow snot that wouldn't go away prompted me to finally get checked out. After a CAT scan it was easy to see that hardware from a rather involved 2012 oral surgery is causing the infection. Tried 2 regiments of antibiotics and irrigation, it persists.

Going in next month to get the troublesome hardware removed, correct a slightly deviated septum, and open/clean out infected right nasal cavity.

I'm a runner so I'm a little excited to have completely open airways! This could be a game changer!!

i just love how literally like 1% of doctors acknowledge the environment as a cause of chronic sinusitis. Is it not obvious that pollution can negatively affect a person's health?

I had headaches everyday for 6 years than I had surgery to widen and drain sinuses... The second i woke up my headache was gone 😁😁😁😁😁 they did find more nasal polyps than expected so maybe that was causing the pressure in my head... Anyone going through this get it done I almost cried when I realised my headache was gone..

Yo this shit is so common, we should all wage war on sinus issues and strike it off the face of the earth. Get your nose checked out, get some nasal irrigation systems - just got my deviated nasal septum surgery done, best choice I’ve ever made.

I had a physio therapist push on my forehead between my eyes and hold it for like 30 -60 seconds. Soon as he released I have had a headache for the last 5 weeks everyday and won’t go away. At first the headache was a 8 out of 10 and has tapered to a 3-5 everyday now. My sinus between my eyes feels plugged off still since it has happened. I’m on Amoxycillin on day 5 now. Had just a couple time seems like air wanting to push out. I hope I get back to normal. Feels like pressure that never goes away. CTscan looked good and xrays but I swear when I talk I’m plugged off. Hurts to talk to long and loud pitch noises are bothering me.

I have had 3 cholesteatoma removals which led to brain abcesses and bacterial meningitis 6 times then I had to have 3 csf leak repair operations now I'm being told I have to have this surgery or I could go blind or get intracrainial complications again I have also had a head injury in a mva rollover and an enchrondroma removal I now have scarring from the ops and wondering if it is worth it all they said I had severe left maxillary sinus disease with bone spurrs. I get dry in the mouth i have no sense of smell I get double vision pain in my sinuses all the time migraine headaches and I'm just sick of having to get up in the night have a drink 1 hour later go to the toilet then repeat process but If the surgery is not going to make it better I might as well put up with it and what ever happends happends

I have sinus pressure but my nose isn't clogged. I don't have any congestion, just my sinuses are inflamed. Any clue why?

I've been advised to go to the hospital to see a specialist to talk about my sinus/nasal problem. I get relief from anti allergy pills, does that mean it could just be an allergy and not an infection or sinus disease?
