Thanks for your video. Is it necessary to install Xquartz? I mean whether R and Rstudio are not enough for coding?

I installed it on my Mac (without installing the XQuartz ) then the program suggested me to instal Xcode which I am at the moment. Is the Xcode a replacement for the XQuartz or shall I install the other one as well?
