went to the show on thursday 17th, dead quiet no crowds, air dis[lay as fantastic. The A380 is just so amazing in flight.

The Boeing vs Airbus debate is much less important than the question of where the next generation of engineers to design aircraft is going to come from. We might be looking at the best examples of aircraft for the next 50 years.

I recall sitting on the range in Bisley this summer and watching an immense plane pull some stunts I thought only possible from small jet fighters (some crazy nose dives, near 90-degree banking). Could this be what I was watching?

Great video, Airbus! When will the A350 make its first appearance at EHAM? I recall that many people turned up to watch the A380's first appearance back in 2010.

Ha! Commentator said, " Airbus a380 is the largest and most efficient commercial aircraft!" Really?! Most efficient?! What about a 737 which only has two engines instead of four. Also, the a380's main competitor, the 747-8i, consumes 8% less than the beluga of the skies, the a380, making it more efficient! So, tell me, is the a380 the most efficient commercial aircraft?!

Claims like this prove the phrase, "if it's not Boeing, I'm not going!"

The 747-8i IS selling, and has made money back for the Boeing Company... If it were not, Boeing would have ditched the product. Yes you are probably right that it will be the last version of the 747, however, it most likely will be replaced with a similar type of aircraft to the 747, in the Boeing Y2 (Yellowstone 2) project in the next decade, similar to what Boeing did with the Y1 project, whenever they replaced the 757 with the state of the art 787.

Also, Boeing would definitely stay afloat if it were not for the 777, as they currently own 60% of the aircraft market...

And just so you know for future reference, the a330 neo is not competing with the 787, the a350 is...

The electric small plane is blessedly quiet. I live near an airport and I love airplanes, but why oh why can't small planes be built that are as quiet as a car. Those little planes make far more noise than they should. If humans can put a man on the moon and a muffler on a Maserati, why not a small aircraft?
