bro.. your throwing all power and hardly any modulation, you should be dead keying at 1/4 watt and modulation at least 2000 wats, thats what my 80's set up would do... top all that with a 65 foot high moon raker fours with a bad ass bell type rotor and 12 foot mast. guy wires was used ..lol krn3895 wizard of madison in Idiana, cb ch 27 and ssb ch 2 thomas .ran 1987 - 1999 ... good luck man.. im 1010 listening in reading the mail, over n out

Way too much average, not enough peak and modulation. What we call a meter queen. This radio will sound muffled and have very little depth, sacrificing some average power to get good modulation and peak will sound much cleaner. Otherwise this radio looks like a great little build, I love the extra clarifier range, clarifier unlock, and channel unlock mods.
