Still love how you've started doing your videos, that swap between phone and yourself is snappy and in the right places to break it up and that camera on the phones provides really smooth footage.

Its all bcoz of that old software version .. U should try out android marshmallow 6 version.. U will be shock to see huge difference.. ( my personal experience I'm z3 & E5 user
1- i turn off nfc, gps like things turnoff all automatic updates from google play store
2- uninstall useless apps.. If there r some apps which u use them very rarely then clear the cache & then force close them or better disable them.. Close all background unwanted open apps/pages,
Clear ur ram cache after heavy usage of playing games / watching youtube etc.
3- for battery turn on ur Stamina Mode and install the app name "battery duo pro" it will increase ur battery life alot

I bought Sony xperia E5. Now after latest firmware update the E5 works better. Battery last longer and camera much better. Little slow but faster than before anyway. Also have LG K10. I Like them both:)

My E4 has the best battery life of any phone I've owned (up to 8h SoT on WiFi). It also has the worst camera of any smartphone I've ever owned

If you're thinking the speakers are quiet there not. I have this phone and it is extremely loud if you put it on the right settings and the battery lasts all day while browsing and making and receiving calls all day.
It's a great phone

The Sony Xperia E5 shouldn't cost 199 Euros with specs and battery performance like that. During the Amazon Prime sale, I got a BLU R1 HD phone for $60. It has an Amazon ad on the lockscreen, so Amazon knocked off $50 from the regular price. This phone has just about the same specs as the E5, the main differences is that it has 2GB RAM and an 8MP rear camera. I wouldn't pay $119 for the E5 in the USA. It's a shame, Sony used to produce great stuff. They can't charge premium prices for run-of-the-mill products.

After the most recent update, my Z3 Compact went from 6-7 hours SOT to about 2.5 hours. Turns out it was some charging optimisation setting which was turned on. When I turned it off, it reverted to normal battery life. This option was in Settings/About Phone/Status btw. Just wondering if it maybe wasn't the same thing with your E5.

Could you review the Asus Zenfone 3 ($249) version and possibly the Deluxe? I would love to see the quality versus the top flag ships. And I wonder if the Deluxe/Base model is a competitor to the Alcatel Idol 4s and Axon 7

My Experia E5 is faulty, people who I called could not hear me. I was told I damaged the phone - it is not damaged. I was told there was a screw missing, as if I had removed which I have not. Then I was asked to open it up and remove some sticky plastic which I believe covers the speaker. No joy there either. A new SIM card - no difference. It will start up as far as announcing itself and then displaying the Android Operating, then promptly powers off. I have just tried a software repair on the Sony site resulting in the powering off procedure several times before giving up the ghost. I was told that my warranty was only for one month but on the Sony site it says there is a 12 month warranty. Not a happy experience.
