Gameforge is celebrating today the highly-anticipated launch of OGame on tablet and mobile devices.

Along with the recently released Lifeforms expansions, the team celebrates with the community the 20th anniversary of Gameforge’s first game, initially launched on October 3, 2002.

“Players have been supporting OGame for 20 years now, and we felt that we had to reward the dedication in a big way,” said Lead Product Manager, Martin Liedke. “OGame on mobile devices and the recently released Lifeforms update are our gift to our passionate community, and we hope they enjoy it!”

OGame for mobile devices contains everything long-time fans have enjoyed over the last two decades, including the massive Lifeforms expansion. Players can begin anew or log in with their existing accounts to continue their conquest of the cosmos on the go!

Created by Gameforge CEO Alexander Rösner and originally released on October 3rd, 2002, OGame is one of the space-themed MMO genre’s longest-running games that, to date, has over 100 million registered players worldwide. Everything starts with the foundation of a small colony on an uninhabited planet. Harnessing the resources of this new home, players research new technologies and construct a powerful fleet to carry their authority out into the stars. Players can expand their galactic empires by colonizing planets, forging tactical alliances, or by taking on other players. Launch unprecedented expeditions of conquest, and subjugate galaxy after galaxy, on a quest to become the most powerful ruler in the universe!

OGame is available for Windows PC via the Gameforge Client, Android mobile devices via Google Play, and iOS mobile devices via the Apple Store. The game is available in 26 languages.

I've been playing Ogame on and off for forever now. Hit a wall when it was tedious to play on my phone browser and am not on a computer as much these days.
I've been waiting for this app and I am very happy 😊 thank you!

I want to play this but i always hated the fleetsaving a crashing aspect. Sleep in or gotta work late and my whole fleet gets crashed by some big shot with a giant fleet. It's lame to lose everything like that.

Its a decade too late.
You might have better spent our money on adding things that people want. Some clones are far better than the original. Of the decade I spent playing and spending thousands of dollars have been wasted to see almost no development over the years. Oh yes I know you added things. Some of those things were done in a week to which was the only thing you added in the damn near 20 years you have been around. Really I have seen new games add new stuff weekly and done far better. Stop taking our money and letting it ride. Develop the game. There are thousands of viable ideas on the boards and thousands of bugs and fixes you can do. Yet its a cash cow you keep making the existing player base pay for.

I thanks you to made this app, I’m immerse in the nostalgia but please… there is a big lack if you compare it with pc, missing content and stuff. I don’t care cause I remember how the game is and what to do but explain ogsme to a new player is like that strange meme with the man making calculations and big hand movement with the red pen writing on your screen and then you get angry cause damn man it’s twice in just 2 fucking second I can’t keep cleaning the screen cause you stupid meme mess with my fucking screen god damn

Wonderful game, but the strict and long rules (20+k words) and really really bad support had me quit the game.
Banned 30 years for using VPN (which rule was listed 2 link away from official rule they provide you) and support not giving a shit.
Unless Gameforge revise the rules and support policy I recommend you all staying away from this game:
it will passion you, take your time, take your money, makes you have lot fun just to then stab you in the back with no reasonwhatsoever.
Forgot to mention: don't tell any of your irl friends/family to play with you as you can be permabanned if you happen to play on the same IP.
