For the first time in almost 17 years, Xubee brings you "A Pinay Reunion".
Pinay started out in 1993 as a primarily a cappella group, bringing together the talents of four women with backgrounds in classical, pop, soul, and gospel music.

Initially, Pinay focused on a cappella music, building their vocal skills and the strength of their sound as well as refining the blend and interaction of their voices for three years before signing with Classified Records in 1996. Through their years of singing together, creating and promoting their debut album "Inevitable," Pinay has developed a distinctively mature, yet versatile sound.

1997, my freshman year, damn i still remember buying their CD single Is It Real. Then a few months later One Voice came out and took over the Fil-am music scene along with DNH. Pinay will always be the first fil-am group.

To the lovely ladies of Pinay: this is definitely one of the most beautiful songs of the 20th century. If my wife and I ever have a wedding I'm going to make sure this is the song we dance to. As for you ladies, I'll be introducing more young people to your music when I play this song over the speakers in the barracks at Sunburst Youth Challenge Academy, where I work to change lives. This generation has no idea what they missed in the 90's.

This is amazing. I'll never forget the way I felt when I first heard this song. The sound of these ladies, the lyrics, the depth of it all; it's the kind of jam that makes you fall in love with whoever is singing it. Several years after it came out I got divorced, deployed to the middle east, and was going through some tough times. I was fortunate to meet another soldier from Cali who had a compilation CD of Asian/Pacific Islander music with this song on it. It kept me going. Thanks Pinay.
