Came here from instagram and I’m so amazed. The pain both soloists conveyed is mind boggling. Music surpasses language barriers. My soul understood long before I knew what was being said. God bless from Maryland.

The songs speak about murder of black population in general, more specically the killing of our mothers and fathers by the systems. This song may apply in the context of police brutality and the murder of our brothers and sisters in the US. Its more a protests song.

The words "bambulele u Tata/Mama" literally means that they have murdered/killed my father/my mother.

They low key describing what happened to us in the diaspora when we were stolen and taken away. I feel that's what resonated the most.

I don't know how anyone can walk past this energy & not stop to listen & absorb. Wherever I'm headed, If it's not an emergency, I'm going to be late.

There’s a deep connection we all, children of Africa feel. This was a thread that pulled us together, we feel the mourn that our ancestors felt, the pain from generations ago still palpable within us today.

This☝️ is exactly what is happening today to my ppl in #Tigray region north part of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 by Ethiopian and Eritrea troops along with some other’s. Over a million ppl vanished within two years of genocide while the world watching in this 21st century. This is the music that will describe how I’m feeling today. God have mercy on my ppl!! Amen 🙏.

It's a painful but relieving cry at the same time but I just can't stop watching this. Got me down bad thinking of some things that I have done wrong and people that I have lost
