As a graduate from South Carolina State University and Professor from 2004 to 2017 at the historic Edward Waters Collage the oldest HBCU in Florida the significance of HBCU institutions can never be denied nor, not taken seriously. HBCU still are important to educating not just people of color, but people of all nationalities because it teaches them that people of color will always rise!!!

I had the HONOR of sending my daughter to an HBCU, Virginia State (hale Trojans) she has 2 degrees and a sisterhood, that she would not have gained anywhere else! Now my nephew is attending his 2nd year at Howard University! Leading by example. SUCH PRIDE 🧐😊

I think that a majority of whites have little to no awareness that there are historically Black colleges and universities, what that means or the significance that has offered to the greater community. I look forward to seeing the documentary.
