It's a day for the history books. A shocking moment in Ottawa. The leader of the official opposition was thrown out of the House of Commons during question period by the speaker. Pierre Poilievre weighed in on the B.C. government's request four days ago to Ottawa to re-criminalize public use of hard drugs. Instead of responding to the question, the prime minister accused Poilievre of associating with far right extremists and called him "spineless." I live in BC and in a city with a high street drug population, which, includes my 38 yr old son. My son is a fentanyl user and when someone on the street dies of an overdose, I hear about it. Where we live, the outreach workers are swamped with clients and our homeless population has almost tripled since the Salvation Army has opened here. They are human traffickers, plain and simple. They will load people on buses and move them around without anyone knowing. My son always warns younger kids about them because they’re the ones that are here one day and gone the next.
