It was good seeing the difference in their sizes. Once the soil warms up, the seedlings take off too, which is great for those of us getting a late start. I don't mind if it reseeds really. The starts are great to move to locations where they can benefit other plants, and they are good to barter with.

I kept most of the flowers on my plants harvested for tea, which helps to reduce its inclination to self sow. It was a short-lived perennial in my Portland garden as well. I try to have Chamomile near a pathway or seating area where I can enjoy the lovely fragrance it releases on warm Sumner days as the dew dries and to have as a rub-n-sniff plant.

Hello Jules!!👋🏻 good to see you in your herb garden. 👍👍👍 I’ll be growing more chamomile this year. Most likely in containers. Glad to see this vid!

Good morning Jules, nice to see you are doing well. Have you checked out my small vineyard which I am busy developing?

Your Chamomile looks great! I made the mistake of adding it to my raised herb garden. LOL! It turned into a jungle with all the other herbs. I had the German and an other type. I ended up ripping it all out and will start over in a different bed. I wintered sowed the German three years ago and direct sowed the other type two years ago. They help with the pollinators big time! I ordered a lot of Borage seed this year because last year I couldn't buy it locally in the 3-county area around us. Love the stuff! Take care my Friend!

I'm just starting chamomile 1st this year. I've been using its cousin the wild pineapple weed instead for years. But good tip about the spreading. Hope all is wonderful

My chamomile did not return from last year (zone 7b), but I have it replanted in 2 locations now, lots of it and it is growing nicely. Love it for tea. Thanks for the information on not flowering last year but this year, that helps! Aloha!

What do you think is the smallest container I could use for chamomile? I’m in Southern California.

Just found your channel. Subscribed. :)

That’s cool brother! Do you dry it and make tea?

My chamomile doesn't seem to grow upright it's just bushy with leaves, and keeps growing more.

Thanks for the close up Jules. I have some weeds (wild flowers) whos flowers look very similar to that but the vegetation is different. Then again, who knows. Maybe what I have if a different variety....or it maybe it's just a weed. 😀

How long does it take until the first harvest? Does it only live for so long? 😮 I’m confused by what you said and how long yours is taking to grow.

I’ve never grown chamomile. Unfortunately most of my herbs I never use, only grow🍺🍺
