What is an Interventional Cardiologist, and what do we do?

Welcome to my inaugural video!

Here I briefly discuss what exactly we do in interventional cardiology. You could say we are the "plumbers of the heart" since we treat clogged arteries (atherosclerosis). But we go beyond just treating coronary artery blockages now. The field is exploding with amazing advancements in technology, techniques, and ways to help our patients. It's a field that often gives you immediate satisfaction when taking care of patients. Heres a peek at what all we can do!

Cardiologist do a amazing job. I’m forever thankful. They saved my daughter❤️ she was born 1lb 4oz and on inserting the umbilical catheter the catheter snapped and migrated to the descending aorta, the stopped blood supply to legs and caused a lot of apnea episodes, she had blood thinners every day to prevent clots for 10 weeks, cardiology wanted to leave it and hope it grew vessels around it to bypass some blood but in the end she needed it taken out and it would of ruptured her aorta eventually. She was 3lb when she had the surgery and it was such a rare incident but by miracle she survived the surgery. Thanks to cardiologist and vascular surgeons❤️❤️

Hello Dr. Haider, I have Ebstein's Anomaly, and it being a fairly rare genetic disorder, It's hard to find a lot of information on the subject shy of talking to my own cardiologist (which I only see annually).


I'd be very interested in seeing a video on Ebstine's, with your perspective on treatments do's and dont's, as well as where you see things heading for patients with this disorder, as well as treatments.


Not as medical advice, because I know you can't offer that, but just as a general informational segment. I think it would be super interesting to hear.
