Beelink SER7 - Almost my Favorite Gaming Mini PC

#technology #gaming #gamers Today we take a look at one of my Amazon Prime Day purchases, the Beelink SER7 mini. We will start off with a review of bhe Beelink SER7 and its specs and then jump in to my use case for the Beelink SER7. I go on to tell you about some of the issues I have had in the past with the Beelink and the SER6 and a new issue I found with SER7.

While I absolutely adore this mini pc, especially as a mini gaming PC, it does have some downfails when it comes to everyday computing. Further there seems to be a very serious issue with its power supply that keeps making the computer shut off. I end with experiences I had with Beelink customer service and support, and some conclusions I have come to about this powerhouse.

I wanted to keep it, but the two major issues I highlight are just to much. The combination of the AMD Ryzen 7 7040HS and the Radeon M780 is something that I find making gaming, on this mini computer not only enjoyable but fully doable.

Ok so your not going to be gaming at 4K on high settings, more like 1080 on medium settings for modern games, but it is fully playable. And if you are into emulation, I think the Beelink SER7 should be on top of you list in the mid range mini PC market.

I bought a SER7 approx 11 months ago, it was great, impressed with the build quality, didn't have any issues with the power adapter. The performance was excellent, i played a whole bunch of games, Cyberpunk etc, start to finish with decent graphics and fps, to the point i would forget i was using a mini pc and not a full gaming pc. Even began using it as my main work machine.

Until it died mid game. Fully dead. No power, nothing. Contacted Beelink support and after a back and forth where they wanted me to make a video showing me doing their troubleshooting steps, they asked me to return the unit for warranty replacement. Which I've done and I'm now awaiting a replacement unit.

That's my experience.

What do you think about the new SER8? The power supply seemed to be solved, maybe overall the improvement is worth the buying?

I Bought the ser6 max 9 months ago and in the last few days I noticed the power cord problem although it works fine but I'm just worried about it
But I saw some people on reddit saying that you can power it with usb-c cable but you'll need a 100w adapter I think

Seems like these mini pc companies have big issues with customer service 😢. I like both minisforum and beelink but they both have numerous issues with specific units. Makes you think that these units aren't really tested, then you add the bad customer service on top of the issues you then have a big headache.
