This guy is the master at the technique required to play Scarlatti with precision accuracy. No one can do it like Alberto.

Great expression, crystal clear guitar. Romantic expression is closer to such a sensitive instrument as a guitar. Scarlatti would appreciate this version I believe.

haven't seen any videos of Mesirca since the GittarSalon one's, he's a great player, and has a release of scarlatti sonatas out there too....

Hi, Siccas. Thanks for the video. Wow, I had to play more than ten times. Perhaps it's time to invite Alberto back.

Skillful playing but in the second section, I believe there to be a non optimal transcription of the base line in the 5th bar of that section. I believe he is playing B, B, C#, C# whereas G#, G#, A, A would make for a more fulfilling rendition. I was relying on such a transcription and was disappointed on hearing a keyboard version. When I
referred to the keyboard score I was able to make those minor adjustments and am very happy with the result. Also, this may sound a little conservative but I wish the player would lend his considerable ability to the inclusion of genuine baroque ornaments which would sound more appropriate to my unadventurous taste.

beautiful sound but the tempo is too rubato in my opinion, sounds more romantic than baroque

Grande amigo, dominio y conocimiento de "Los Afectos" imprescindibles en la música barroca!!

I hesitate to post a negative comment as he's obviously a very accomplished player with great technical ability, however I feel the beauty of this piece is lost in the need to needlessly speed up at times and adding in unnecessary embellishments which are just excessive. The simplicity and beauty of the piece are just unfortunately lost ..

Wenn du die Notenwerte einhältst, klingt es bestimmt noch besser.

Too much agitation to serve such cantabile quality of this composition. And about all these diminuations: do you háve to play them just because you can?
