On the night of June 12, 1994, OJ Simpson, in his white Bronco with his lights off, was frantically speeding away from the scene of the crime. At that exact moment,  single mom Jill Shively was trying to get to a restaurant before it closed. Their paths crossed on San Vicente Blvd in Brentwood blocks from Nicole Brown Simpson's condo.  Simpson almost wipes out Jill's Volkswagen Bug and barks at her to move. Thinking an intoxicated former NFL star had almost sideswiped her, Jill calls the LAPD and sets off a series of events too incredible to be made up.

What happened in those moments, days, and weeks after this improbable encounter is discussed in dramatic detail, leaving you on the edge of your seat. Why was Jill Shively never called to testify in the Trial of the Century? What happened to her life in the past 30 years?

Tom Zenner and Kato Kaelin guide you through a scintillating, chilling, and phenomenal one-hour conversation with Jill sitting in the studio with them that True Crime fans will be hanging on every single word. It's a hot new One Degree of Scandalous episode with Tom Zenner and Kato Kaelin.

It’s fantastic to hear from Kato all these years later. I feel like the prosecution presented him as kind of a ditz, and he’s actually really intelligent and well-spoken.

Absolutely ridiculous that she wasn’t called as a witness….

Imagine if OJ Simpson had hit another car fleeing the scene.

Tom, thank you for saying Miss Jill has nothing to apologize for! She is a lovely person.

If the murderer hadn't been a celebrity, he would have been nailed within days and spent the rest of his life in prison

The call she made came in prior to any knowledge of the murders. 1000% credible.

When I heard about this witness in 1994 I was shocked that the prosecution did not use

It would not have mattered if Jill testified or not. The Jury was never going to convict him.

The fact that she reported him prior to the murders being known about makes her account 100% factual.

Some have made bad remarks about Kato over the first years of trial but kato seems like a real good man.

Does anyone else see a huge resemblance between Kato and Jill?

You can tell Kato’s an honest guy, decent person.

Wouldn't have mattered with the incompetents on that jury. They are the real disgrace

Nicole was right! She told her friend, Faye Resnick, that OJ was going to kill her and that he would get away with it! Faye Resnick said that she knew OJ did it when he went up to her at the funeral and said “ I loved her too much”! OJ had major anger issues that were out of control. I can’t imagine what Nicole went through all those years living under the same roof with OJ.

I was staying at the Luxe Hotel in LA in 1999. I was in town for business with the hotel, and brought a colleague. We were at the front desk when I heard a very distinctive voice coming through the lobby. I told my friend to slowly look to her right, as the voice I recognized was OJ. It’s so interesting the discussion at 5:22 about his voice. I had a similar experience. I had followed the trial closely, and read several books, and had a lot of interest. The headlines in the news was that OJ was kicked out of a rental and temporarily living in a, “tourist hotel, off of a very busy LA freeway.” So, I knew it was him immediately. My friend wanted me to take a photo with him, and I refused. We were bickering a bit about it, and the person behind the desk alluded that OJ would LOVE to have his photo taken, due to his enormous ego. My friend and I still talk about that incident and the fact that we have no photo to prove it. But, that voice I can still hear, all these years later, bellowing in the hotel lobby.

This is definitive proof of Simpson's guilt.
A kindergartner would agree.

Jill Shively really got a raw deal from Marcia. I feel bad for Jill, she was the best witness in the entire case for the prosecution and Marcia's arrogance got in the way. She sold her story to Hardcopy AFTER reporting this information to the police. That's key. Marcia didn't have a clue how to handle the case. They needed a heavyweight like Bugliosi.

Marcia Clark was the best asset for the defense

When Marcia was scolding you for "Ruining her case", someone needed to tell her, "You may think she will ruin YOUR case, but you will ruin THE CASE Marcia, if you don't put her on the stand."
