I put a drop of essential oil on my vacuum filter before I start. Makes room smell like it vs. dog smell

I'm a certified hvac tech and it is not a good idea to put that on the return filter but it is okay to put it on a used dryer sheet and put it in your floor vent 😊

How about using bacon grease? It's the only essential oil that I know.

Oil will make dust stick on you evaporator coils and reduce air flow.. if you have a heat pump the auxillary heat coil may ignite oil residue

If I remember correctly, you have a kitty. Essential oils can be toxic to cats. Their livers can't metabolize many of the essential oils. You may not want to spread it through out your house. I know the house smells so much better. You can try hydrolized oils. They are safe for kitties.

Litterbox? Get a box of dryer sheets, put them under the litter box. I owned a cleaning service and I grew up in an immaculate home. Anyway, I am not rich so I had to use inexpensive methods to keep the dog and cat smell down in my house. I put dryer sheets under my mattresses, sofa cushions, clothespin to a hanger and hang a few in each closet, put dryer sheets on a/c filter, use dryer sheets for antistatic on your clothes and hair too. They also work in the bathroom. Dryer sheets are amazing under car seats in vehicle too.

I put a few drops of (sweet orange) essential oil on my vacuum filters. I also put a few drops on a cotton ball and put it in the vacuum canister.
When you vacuum it'll make your house smell wonderful.

Some of those oils can be dangerous for your cat. We used to have those sprayers but after finding out that they can cause neurological problems in your cat, we stopped using them.

I had a heat and air guy say to just buy the cheapest air filters because those other more expensive ones don’t let the air to flow through as much.

Try to be more careful with your filters. When the cardboard gets crushed like your "new" filter was, the suction will deform them allowing unfiltered air to your evaporator coils.

Knew a girl that used dryer softener sheets on the filter for the same effect. I think she changed the sheets out once a week or sooner if needed. Seemed pretty easy, open the door for the filter throw a sheet in front of it, didn’t even have to take the filter out, close the door and enjoy. Next time remove the old sheet put new one. Also a good way to keep an eye on when your filter needs to be replaced. Haha.

Yes it does work and it's better than burning candles or using plugins from room to room👍🏽
