Dune: Awakening - Unreal Engine 5.2 Tech Demo | State of Unreal 2024

Joel Bylos, creative director of Dune: Awakening by Funcom, presents the visuals of the game's landscape and models inspired by the visual effects of Dune 2, which used Unreal Engine 5 in the film. And he treated audiences to the teaser trailer.

Dune Lore: projectile weapons have become very uncommon due to the use of shields that could cause a Nuclear explosion so most of the people in the universe are trained to fight with hand to hand combat

If you'd like to know what the gameplay will be close to is Funcom's Conan Exiles. The major difference will be that it is based in Dune universe. They have released gameplay footage as well on their website. The building looks identical to how it worked in Conan Exiles, however Funcom said they overhauled the building mechanics. So, I'm extremely excited to jump into Dune Awakening.
