I'm Isaac Carlson, a creator based in Orlando, Florida, and ever since I can remember I’ve loved Disney. My fondest childhood memories come from visiting Walt Disney World with my family. Moana sacrificing herself and being revived as a demigod gave me the same vibes as Hercules’ Godhood being restored for saving Meg and Stitch being revived by Lilo’s love in Stitch has a Glitch

My head canon is that it was the god of the ocean who restored Maui’s powers and turned Moana into a demigoddess. The god of the ocean knew Moana would be the one to restore Te Fiti and stop Nalo and he/she wanted to guide her. It would also explain why the ocean could not protect her because the gods cannot get close to Nalo. Moana, demigoddess of the ocean

Moana definitely has some struggles ahead, but Nalo is definitely gonna be the biggest threat

I'll admit, I'm pretty mixed on the movie, but I did think the death and revival of Moana was done well. I'm sure we'll see there be a followup of some sort. The kids who grew up with Moana and now Moana 2 will be older by the time a third one is made, so maybe they'll lean into the heavier aspects of this world? I'll honestly be fine as long as they don't bring back "What Could Be Better Than This?".

With the mid credit scene as Nalo preparing for his revenge to Moana with Tamatoa in assistance after she become a demigoddess along with many other possibilities, someday in the upcoming years there will be Moana 3 featuring what happened next.

Maui is still an immortal demigod without his hook, his hook just gave him the power to shapeshift, its like his magic wand.

Now the major question for me is, will Moana become an immortal too? Maui did grow up from a baby to an adult after the gods revived him, so will Moana at some point physically stopped aging once she hit a certain age.

7:15 Since the path Moana’s chosen has expanded to all people of the ocean & she’s immortal now thanks to her Demigoddess status, I would think that means that while she continues wayfinding for (presumably) eternity & unites more & more people, her sister Simea would probably take over as Chief instead since unlike Moana now, the rest of her people will age & eventually die. Can demigods even have children once they reach divine status? If they can, I’d imagine it’d be rather sad watching your own kids age like normal while you remain ageless (as I highly doubt demigodhood is hereditary).

I am so excited to see this! I love the music and Moana‘s. Bond with her little sister will be the emotional core and heartbeat of the film. I love this film is darker than the first one! I think Nalo will be the overarching antagonist of Moana 3 (and maybe 4, who's to say) with Matangi getting most of the screen time as the main antagonist (and maybe redeeming herself in the end, or just making a truce). As of Tamatoa, if the post credit scene gave us anything, it's that Nalo doesn't really care for him, so expect a big redemption ark for our favourite shiny crab.

We just watched Moana 2 today. 🙂When all the people came to the island, I said to my frriend: "If tis is anything like the real world, they are going to start a war now over who is ruling over this island.". I think this may also be a plot in the new movie. Groups of people fighting against each other (it doesn't have to be a physical fight, there might just be a fraction who does not want that Moana is doing whatever she neeeds to do) and making it more difficult for Moana.

I learned that Tamatoa have lost his shiny golden treasure in his back, and replaced it with lots of bones, and got away of Lalotai proposing to Nalo a partnership to get revenge on Moana in a mid-credit scene.

This would be better to be a series if they were going to do this. They even made a Tangled series. I am really disappointed that they couldn't make a Moana series.😢
