I’m not trying to be a Debby downer but this brings back a terrible memory for me when I went to find out what I was having for my second child and I already had a son and wanted a girl so badly. I went in and had my ultra sound and it was a baby boy and I secretly went into the bathroom before meeting with the doctor and shed a few tears and only a few moments later when the doctor came into our room I knew immediately something was terribly wrong. My son had holoprosencephaly alobar which they told me he was not compatible with life and my life changed in an instance. I will never forgive myself for being so selfish and ungrateful for the thought of a boy because I would give anything to have that sweet boy and I never had another child but I share my story with everyone I know who seems so set on a certain sex of a child because you never think about something like that until it happens but it really is true that the only thing that matters is the baby is healthy.

I am so glad that gender reveal wasn't a thing when I was having my three boys. Yes, I would have loved to have had a girl, but it wasn't to be. They were all born healthy and gorgeous...I couldn't have asked for more.
Now, I'm the proud grandma of two....and one is a granddaughter, so I got her in the end!!🥰🥰
