Bonzo loved Keith. As he was a few years older, and got famous much earlier, John kind of idolized him a bit. They had different styles, but, John definitely admired Keith a lot, and was a fan.

Two very different drummers and I love them both.
Keith Moon however is my favorite drummer out of all drummers.
He actually makes me smile and almost laugh just listening to his playing.
There is humor in his playing.

NO CONTEST... I've been a drummer for as long as I can remember and I believe Mr Moon is the best drummer who has ever existed.. if you don't believe me listen to Quadrophenia, the best album of all time.. The Who owe him much of their success, having said that they were all top musicians/creatives, very much unlike the modern day manufactured equivalants

Bonham was my biggest influence, he brought the thunder and was the driving force behind the greatest rock band of all time! Bonzo it is!!

Bonham and Moon are both insanely good drummers but I prefer Keith.

Both great. Both very different. Both two of my favorite all-time drummers. In my opinion impossible to compare. Moon was lightning quick, Bonham was thunder and like a rock. I could watch either for hours and never get bored. RIP to both.

John Bonham is the THE greatest rock drummer of all time.

Nobody else had the unique combination of Sound, Groove, technical ability, dynamics, power and sensibility.

He knew when to get on top and when to lay back. His drumming was more about feel than perfection.

He had that incredible right foot and don't forget about his hi-hat work and those sick fills, that are often never mentioned (overlooked).

He remains the All Around perfect drummer for rock. He could have played in a Funk band or a Metal band just the same.
He was extraordinary

KEITH HAD IT ALL. Only know, 61 years of age, I realize what a superb drummer he was, not just by skills, but the combination of personality, energy, performance. I am touched by the stories and movies, seeing him in full action. I only had the singles in the sixties. My generation was the very first single my 6 year older brother bought. I even recall the cover.
Keith Moon is the real number one to me. He cannot me imitated.
