Generating a GeoJSON file from QGIS (InViTo Tutorial)

Open the shape file in QGIS. Check the Projected Coordinate System in Layer Properties - General:

EPSG:3857 – WGS 84 / Pseudo Mercator

In typing field name refer to “Reserved Keywords”, “Data type” and “Unsupported Characters” documents in order to correctly compile the table

Export the shapefile. Right click on the layer name and open the “Save As” window. Select “GeoJSON” format and save clicking “OK”.
