I'm a milwaukee fan boy, but this is unacceptable. I guess I will wait for gen 3

Might take a second to learn, but being someone that uses my gen 1 daily for the last 6 years I can say without a doubt that will be a feature I love since having two hands to use is limited many times...

Its one less point of failure as those little blister buttons honestly suck. Everybody acting like its rocket science to put the tool in neutral and pull trigger twice

The idea is to reduce the times you need to use two hands to operate. I kinda like it for that reason.

You should know how to change modes with ease before the sticker wears off. Who know you might end up liking it more. This is how new innovations work. Hope this helps 👍

I was excited for this to come out and preordered the 3/8 gen 2. I hate what they did with mode selection. Im returning it and going back to gen 1. If it aint broke dont fix it

I for one like it You can switch modes now all one-handed on the go versus having to use your other hand to switch modes

I’ve seen like 3 videos of this guy complaining about this. Stick to the gen 1 then. It’s intuitive and has been extremely helpful in tight spaces. Been much easier to slide the selector and pull button than trying to push that button on top.

One handed mode switching? Looks good to me.

There will be a learning curve but that could be handy under a truck

I am 10000% future forward and all about tech. BUT (and it’s a BIG BUT, only 1 “T”) the switch was so easy and fail proof. Keep it simple!

I feel like they tried to reinvent the wheel here. Some interfaces like a simple button proved itself as intuitive and reliable (if you use good quality button). I wouldn't mind too much as I don't change the speed that often but some people downright would hate it. Otherwise cool little tool that plenty of power.

I love my gen 1 . But it never leaves speed 3 . So shouldn’t be an issue for the gen 2

I would say mic drop but for Milwaukee it's battery drop

I don’t like it, honestly. Give me the good old selection switch or button.

What is your obsession with that sticker..

I feel like the trigger spring working overtime isn’t gonna be a good thing for tool longevity 🤷‍♂️

Why we should use difficult way to change speed mode?

Ehhh, ive found more gems in dumpsters. A Bosch jigsaw. A makita sander... Plus im all in with the brushless Ryobi line that gets all this done in the video for less than half the price. 😂😂

You would remember the process after a few times, , or is Milwaukee giving its customers too much credit
