Dear Doctor, you can help people with ME

The new National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guideline on ME was published in October 2021. The guideline contains recommendations on treatment and management for people suffering from ME in England and Wales.

Now, we are asking doctors everywhere to read this guideline, so they can provide the best care possible for people with ME.

In particular, we want health professionals to know the graded exercise therapy should not be offered to people with ME, and to understand how they can positively support people living with this disease.

With the right information, doctors can help people with ME.

At least here in Spain we are done for. I hope in other countries the situation of our desease gets better little by little.

I wasnt even diagnosed for 11 years...mistreated the whole time by doctors and people in general on top of being severely ill. We just want doctors to treat us like humans, show compassion and stop being so bloody arrogant. I was treated like some mentally ill, placebo, hypochondriac person when in fact i have no mental illness, I even asked to be tested but it didnt matter. Ignorance is ok if you are willing to learn. They were not.
