Watched a few rebuild videos and pretty much everyone has the Texans for the reasons you stated plus a lot of picks in year 1. I just completed 2 years with the Texans switched schemes to a more pass heavy offense to develop Mills faster (x-factor after year 2), switched defense to 4-3 quarters and went all defense with year 1 draft, signed good free agents for the O-line, Gisecki at TE, and a good Deep Threat Receiver to complete year 1 off season, made playoffs year 2 and team currently sits at 85 overall heading into year 2 off season. The biggest issues with year 1 off season are no ROLB and FS if you do not resign anyone. On offense you'll basically be rebuilding the whole O-line with Tunsel as your only legit starter, 2 ok guards, 1 ok center, and 1 young developing RT after year 1.

I think these are spot on for the AFC! I’d throw in a sneaky pick of the Ravens too. But it all comes down to what do you do with Lamar Jackson. Do you pay him and build around him? Or do you bring in a new guy and potentially start a rebuild with that roster?
