Like her or not there it is nice to hear about a world leader not wanting to have tax payers support their lifestyle.

I have a fond memory of Margret Thatcher at 10 downing street, belting a skinhead with her handbag. He must have said something quite inappropriate (as skinheads do), so she walked up to him, clobbered him with her handbag, and gave him a stern telling off. The skinhead looked shocked as if he was not expecting her to stand up for herself. Perhaps he thought he was about to suffer secret service lead poisoning. He looked frightened. I laughed so hard I choked on my fish and chips.

Wait a minute, as a Brit Simon you should know that the British Prime Minister is head of Government not head of State. Also, you referred to Margaret Thatcher as the Prime Minister of England when she was Prime Minister of Britain.
