My friends have this interesting loop of thinking something is broken then thinking it is useless. They play against it, get absolutely fucked, then think it’s broken and try it themselves. They get absolutely fucked again and now think the champion/item is useless.

Imma say it, aphelios isn't weak people just don't really know how to play him, he's also pretty situational. Granted, he's the only adc I've played and had fun playing with, once I got used to him I actually started winning a lot, the only problem with him is that he takes a while to be useful in game, and takes much more effort to do what the top adcs do with literally little to none; basically unless you actually get really good with his kit, you'll be useless... he's high floor, high ceiling, and even when mastered he's not the strongest, so people don't really bother.
