The Cleveland Heights Police Department says it has arrested three teen suspects in connection to an alleged attempted robbery that led to a Shaker Heights man being shot in the face on Sunday.
One of the three male suspects is 18 years old, the other two are each 19. All three have been charged with felonious assault and armed robbery. Police say that the EDGE SWAT Team, a multi-jurisdictional team comprised of members from seven communities, including Cleveland Heights, assisted in the arrests.
Officials say it was around 5:43 p.m. Sunday when officers responded to the scene at Heights Garden Apartments in the 1300 block of Cleveland Heights Boulevard. The victim reportedly told police he had been robbed in the parking lot.
The man was taken to University Hospitals where he was treated in the ICU. The extent of his injuries is unknown and his name has not been released.
