How to import a cheap V8 BMW E34 from Germany!

In this episode we are travelling to Germany to buy a car for one of my friends. It is a BMW E34 Touring 530i with a 3L V8, manual 5 speed gearbox and limited slip differential. In this video we'll show you how to import a German car yourself.

Take off the lower oil pan. The bolts off the oil pump tend to come loose and destroy the engine. If he wants to keep the car for a long time i would also suggest a timing chain service, that's another common reason this engine explodes. Otherwise an awesome car, and if you have a E34 for once in your life you are pretty much stuck with that model. You don't want any other car after that.

I am from austria and went to sweden this year to buy my E34 540i with a 6 Speed and original M Package. It was a fun journey!

Congratulations for your "new" bimmer and I always wish you safe and pleasant journeys and a lot of fun. Definitely you have a rare engine /transmission configuration. Luckily BMW continued his previously interrupted tradition of building V8's with these models and their 7 series siblings. Besides this you had two save ways on the disturbingly busy Autobahn and that is wat counts most.

We've done it somewhat in reverse, we got our latest JZX100 from Belgium and brought it to Germany :D

LOL! I bought also a car in Stendal last August and imported it to Switzerland! I had also problems because my money did not arrive on the bank so I also slept in the same hotel as you haha
The guy in the numberplate office could only give you the number plate, because he tested it in my case which took about 2 hours to do so ...

BTW: don't forget the documents COC and EUR1 for newer cars.
