A few points:
1. BJG’s questions always appear rambling, but what she is doing is building a frame filled with so many debatable assumptions that it tries to box the interviewee into a particular response. Not a good look IMO.
2. I’m part sports group that occasionally meets for drinks, mostly left leaning. The other day the discussion in the group is that they’ve all stopped tuning into CNN (they never watched Fox) due to what even they see as clear bias opinion vs a source of news.
3. There’s an argument that the ‘actual malice’ libel standard for public figures may be one of the root causes for the bias we’re exposed to on msm. It allows defamatory statements by news anchors, which they employ to curry the favour of their particular audience. If the msm was held legally accountable for their statements it’s likely they would more or less stick to the facts vs opinion if untrue or defamatory.
