He's the perfect example of a guitar player who didn't try to break the speed of sound but concentrate instead on melody and harmony. He is a tasteful composer which can not be said of this whole new generation of guitar shredders.

"I was on an acid trip one time and it reminded me of the devil"
that's one of the most metal things I've ever heard

Can only imagine the memories that go through his head when he plays these riffs and songs. What a legend.

Extremely underrated musician. Doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

Robby never overpowered Doors songs, his riffs complemented and intertwined so well with Ray’s organ.
Not too many bands ever had that unique organ and guitar combo. And Robby had such intricate and cool riffs.
My ears usually hurt from most rock guitar after awhile, but I never tire of Robby, it’s just so good and soothing.

Robby Krieger video playing Spanish Caravan intro on electric guitar... let's see what his face looks like as he plays it!

At 5:32 he really starts to play, so the cameraman does a 1970s shot of his face.

Truely underrated. Robbie is a master at his craft and had a huge impact on the sound of the doors. Peace frog and wild child are two of my favorites

Back in the early 90s, my wife and I we’re barhopping in Pasadena, and in rolls Robby Krieger with his band. Much to our surprise they were scheduled to play there that night. My wife shouted out a request, “play peace frog“, and he played it! Robbie is a class act!

I cracked a huge grin when he played "Love Me Two Times." Still one of my favorite riffs.

This is the result of surrounding a legend w/ an amateur film crew.

Good to see the legend is still going strong.
