You can attach rubber chains over it or make rubber clogs over the welded iron pieces to help with moving and avoid getting stuck in the desert in a better way.

Fun fact: there was a real tank made like this. On tracks it goes up to 15 mph but on wheels 30 mph. It was not mass produced due to the complexity of the vehicle, and it was technically not a tank.

You’re a genius that’s the coolest track idea I’ve ever seen. It would be really nice. If when you do on both sides, you make a plate over the chain so it wouldn’t get damaged, but I don’t know how you keep rocks and stuff out of it anyways great design, man I’m very proud of you. Yeah, letting some air out, will increase the contact area of the tyre. Those metal tracks are way better than the rubber ones.
