Dagda summarized it best. This series just made me angry. If I was fnatics coach I would be furious, if I was G2s coach I would also be just facepalming and spewing disappointment.

I think a lack of content and memes is partially to blame. I remember the excitement behind things like God Gilius, the insane Schalke run, the songs, the Jankos Miky bromance etc. I haven't seen anything like that in a while. It lightened the atmosphere and there was less toxicity.

Personally, I think European teams (FNC especially) criminally underrate the importance of taking mid T1. Razork saying he would prefer bot T2 over it is not surprising at all.

I like it a lot more when it's just the casters/analysts. Whenever there's a player guest star they have to pander to him, and if it's for the whole episode it's more a one team content piece than an LEC discussion.

we have 4 finals a year in LEC, maybe we should call this the 2024 LEC FINALE (pronounced Fee-nar-lay) to avoid vonfusion and give the event a little more gravitas.

The absolutely ridiculous copium.

The reason people can't "get excited" for these teams isn't because it's about comparisons to international, or because there's potential.

It's because we've been running on "BUT THERE'S POTENTIAL" for about 3 years now. These guys just don't improve. These teams try to fix one thing and then either don't or they get worse at something else.

I'll get excited when they actually make that next step. Not just teeter on it for years (*cough* Humanoid/Razork duo pairing for year 3 *cough*)

I don't understand the BDS praise in comparison to FNC and G2. BDS lost their series in the exact way FNC did, the difference is we forgot about it because of how painful the finals was.

In my opinion I feel casting is a board overboard today.

Like don't get me wrong, casters being able to quickly name and call out everything happening in a fight is incredibly skilled.

But I wish it was sometimes way more simple. Imagine if the famous Faker play wasn't "Look at the cleanse, look at the moves!", but rather "Faker cleanse, Faker using shadow clone, spinning, autoattacking. Faker flashing, throwing his blade and uses shadow clone again!"

Genuinely one of the best glazes I’ve seen of the DECADE this finals was an embarrassment for both teams to call it anything else is disingenuous to your audience and your careers as “experts” of the game
