Dingoes a 'fair dinkum' separate species | ABC News

Показать описание
Australian researchers have found that dingoes are a separate species and cannot be lumped in with wild dogs.
In a paper published in animal taxonomy journal Zootaxa, the researchers analysed factors such as the shape of the animal, its skull structure, genetics, vocal communication and behaviour to conclude that dingoes are a distinct species.
Professor Corey Bradshaw joins ABC News to explain his team's findings, and discuss how dingoes could be a useful tool for management of feral and native animals if they are protected.
