Definitely a crisis. 400, 000 kids?!? WOW. Never thought of mental illness as one of the reasons that children end up in foster care. She couldn't figure out she should READ the formula instructions??!!?? wow. Yes, I've always thought it was the money that motivated people to be foster parents. Thanks for sharing.

I am currently ‘almost’ a licensed foster parent. I have 1 class left. When I think of the trauma these kids have been thru and what could happen if I adopt, it is quite scary. More support for foster parents & adoptive ones would be helpful. These Agencies put prospective foster parents thru the ringer!!! But the support is lacking...

I'm in WV. It bad here. It's mostly in the southern county's. We had pharmacies that were handing out more opioids than there were residents in a county. There was an investigation. I haven't read up on it any further. In the other counties we have a meth problem.

I am a safe home for foster children. Unfortunately in the area that I live the training pushes this narrative that gender is a choice and a foster parent should wait for the child to share their gender. This is not a dialogue I can get on board with. They claim that not accepting this premise is discrimination.
