Slight correction suggestion: Medan is an Indonesian town in the island of Sumatra, NOT an island in Sumatra

Anyone else think the ship was carrying something illegal such as a chemical weapon or something and that's the reason why it wasn't registered.

My guess is that the ship was travelling with volatile compounds, that explains why the ship nor the ships cargo were ever recorded. Then there may have been a leak of said volatile compounds, and it killed the crew. Sort of like a gas poisoning. Hence no explanation of obvious injuries. Then, the ship blew up because of the cargo being explosive.

I feel like they did this video because of Little Hope. The game that came before Little Hope was Man of Medan. It's a game that is setup with a butterfly effect like Until Dawn and is based off this event.

If the incident took place during the 1940's and "S.S." is short for "Steamship", why is the video only showing fotage of old time tree ships?

If we are looking at a logical explanation, I've always liked the one that says the ship was carrying dangerous or illegal cargo (thus the name of the ship wasn't registered) and an accident caused the death of the crew and the explosion. I bet if Ryan was involved in this video he would have said it's aliens :-)
