RN:Go To Work With Me|Skilled Nursing Facility/Long Term Care vs Hospital|(Tagalog with Eng Sub)

Показать описание
My shift starts at 10pm and end at 6am. The facility I work at have 3 floors wherein the 1st floor is a Memory Care unit. The second is Skilled Nursing Facilty or Rehab, that's where I'm at and the 3rd floor is the Long Term Care or Nursing Home, this is where seniors live in the facility for medical and other reasons. The patients on my floor are usually expected to stay at least 2 weeks or more depending on the physician's order for PT/OT, their progress and insurance coverage.

Disclaimer: Every shift is a different situation. This is just one of the "quiet" night.

As a nurse who works in LTC, I know how hard this was for you to film. You did a great job maintaining privacy, explaining everything and staying focused.

Thanks for making this video. It gives us a perspective on what to expect at a SNF in Arizona. Love your nursing vids. 🙂

I am only 15, but I really want to be a nurse at a nursing home. I love old people, and seeing how well the nurse took care of my grandma it is just made me want to be a nurse even more! I am always helping old people whether it's walking them to there car or Carrying there groceries, I just love it so I'm trying to see what I want to get into and stuff.

Thank for the video. I currently work at the rehab portion at a SNF. I have been there for a couple of years now and have been trying to slowly transition to hospital. I'm just a little lacking in confidence changing from ST/LTC to acute care even though my unit is like a med-surg floor. I need a little confidence lol and I am working on it. I also hate changing jobs but I feel like I need to get that hospital experience to better my nursing skills

Thank you for making this video! I applied to a SNF and am trying to learn more about it since my background is inpatient oncology and outpatient infusion. I'm worried about having so many more patients!

Your routine is pretty much the same with my routine when I'm doing night shift. And now I'm transitioning to surgical telemetry ward in the hospital. I hope you have your night routine sa hospital rin. :D

an rn at a nursing home is usually a supervisor as the one passing meds is an lvn or lpn.

Would been nice if you stick to one language, is just annoying having to read instead of actually watching what you’re doing, otherwise good presentation of what a night LTC nurse actually does

I like this video. It's an actual duty. She has nail polish only hehe.

Hi, I just came across your video, this is good! I just noticed your nails, I worked in two hospitals and they don’t allow long, colored nails because it usually will catch a bacteria pretty easily. Anyways, I bet different facilities have different rules.
