Great, to the point Video. Alot of people get mixed up for their Mint error vs Variety coin. The grading companies should be very pleased that you are helping make their job some what easier. I am sure my first few submissions were a nightmare to figure out... Thanks for another worthy Video

I have learned so much from your CoinHelpu videos. I have and would recommend anybody that has any questions about coins to search and watch your videos. Thank you for doing them. I appreciate the info and your time. Have a good one.

Anacs is cheaper for grading, but the case isn't crystal clear and slim as PCGS and NGC. Both PGCS and NGC grade paper money. Unsure air tight sealing which company do better on coins? Storage of pennies is worst because copper react temperature, moisture, oxidation quicker than nickel and silver coins.

@Daniel Im not Into slabbed coins. I have a few and will probably collect more over the years. I can't believe some of the people responding on here. Wanting services for free. Your analogy in a comment was perfect. You have to do your research. Tons of places out there online to read and pictures as well. I'm sure you could take a coin to a LCS and even have them check it for you. Again another great and informative video, Thank you.

Thanks Daniel. Great information. Do your homework if you think you have a mint error or variety to be sure you are not sending in damaged coins. Just because a coin looks nice doesnt mean it will grade high. Check out PCGS photograde.

2 reasons : the person sending in didn’t know, the grading service will only do what their paid to do meaning is you didn’t pay for the variety / error attributed you won’t get it for free.

I did. I was asked to send it in by Mark Felder after he seen it. He is a nice guy and taught me a lot, and I know it's something that is unusual, and you and I know it is improbable, because before I did I was told something that did discourage me from hunting, but I had already lost my wife, and everything else because of coins, so I had nothing better to do, nor anything else to lose, and your videos would make her mad too. Lol

I just picked up a 1927 standing liberty quarter. Website said VG but i would put it more along the lines of good, or in between. Beautiful silver coin. Im just getting started in all this. My uncle has coins that go back a few hundred years. cant wait to bring my red book to his place and check them out!

I have a Buffalo nickel in an NGC slab that says "Weakly Struck - Mint Error" on the label, but it's not graded. It's clearly MS but is missing about half the detail on both sides. I also have a Jefferson nickel like that. It's difficult to assign a value to such coins but the weakly struck designation is pretty rare.

Business is business but grading companies expect the collectors to be knowledgeable on errors-varieties which is too much to ask for. If those companies see “ something “ why” they could notify the customer if he wants to pay for it. Both would benefit . That should be included as a regular service.

I wondered how the collectors spend thousands or a million dollars for specific pennies without risking discoloration and oxidation? They place the pennies in a temperature control safe?

Someone said I have a lot to learn. Perhaps, just to state it, I would rather buy a 1923 Peace Dollar MS62 for $55, rather than spending that much just for Grading a Mint Error. ANACS is where I recently went to grade a coin, fastest turn around, best value, graded well. Error Coins, "You are going to waste a lot of money." That is my lesson learned from this video....LOL!
