Looks like a lot of slop in the steering wheel. I had a 1960 Ford F100 that had a full half turn of the wheel of slop in the steering box. Never did find a good replacement. I couldn't drive faster than 45mph due to not being able to flip the wheel around for minor course corrections.

Since this is a 1968, technically it is a UAZ since GAZ built the 69 from 1953-1956 & UAZ took over 1956-1972. Cool vehicle though! Thanks for sharing the ride!

В детстве ездил пассажиром на этом чуде-юде: 50 км на деревню и обратно были настоящей пыткой.
