The rise in NVIDIA is valid. They have an Apple-like thing going on now except it might even be better. I don't see NVIDIA slowing down for at least the next 24 months. AMD has grown but they are not ever going to explode like Nvidia. Nvidia is already talking about next year GPU chips that are going to save power and still process faster than this year's versions. AMD seems to always be chasing and not innovating

Advanced Micro Devices Unveils New AI-Capable Chips

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) on Monday unveiled several new chip architectures meant to power AI applications across the gamut of hardware.

At Taiwan's Computex 2024, the company said it was launching the new AMD Instinct MI325X accelerator in Q4 and unveiled what it described as a multigeneration roadmap for future accelerators designed to efficiently handle AI applications.

It also previewed fifth-generation EPYC server processors to be launched in H2.

The company additionally announced its third generation AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series mobile processors for laptops and AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors for desktops.

Separately, it announced the new AMD Radeon PRO W7900 Dual Slot workstation graphics card designed to deliver scalable AI performance for platforms supporting multiple graphic processing units.

Imho: If Nvidia can keep their proprietary tech like CUDA, they'll likely stay the market leader. But if these technologies have to be shared or if other initiatives become accepted, AMD could get a lot closer. Maybe it will depend on lawmaking over the next decade or so. (This is only from the ai datacenter perspective but i think this is perhaps the most important potential of these companies for the foreseeable future)

I can't think of another stock besides NVDA that there have been more times over the past 8 years, where I've looked at the price and thought - it's surely too high, I should sell it before it drops.

And the only thing that saved me from selling it was my incompetence as a stock investor, and because I didn't need the money, (and my belief that they were secretly a software company with a monopoly).

Buying Nvida stock this year is a no brainer buy imo.

Nvidea and AMD are both positioning themselves to dominate different marketplaces. Both of them will be good investments. The only question is, which one will be the better investment in the long run? I'm leaning towards Nvidea because to me they seem to be setting up an infrastructure that reflects huge growth on a bigger scale.

I get a high level of what you explain in the video but maybe creating a video to help viewers understand why these are the metrics you look at and what they mean can go a very long way in further understanding and deep diving in your videos.

amd missed the run up in Nvidia and others but sure won't miss the drop in AI stocks it seems. AMD has been a terrible investment for its entire existence. lisa su didn't make hay while the sun was shining. Always a day late. amd, the redheaded stepchild of the chip sector.

Been holding amd for a long time since they bought out that other company. I think its a good 8yr hold. Can you give us a perspective on Hive? I bought at .14 long long ago and still holding and been buying more. They are partnered with Nvidia.
