Clarissa Ward is a role model of what a journalist should be: unquestioned integrity, courage, intelligence and decency.

I'm just glad you were ok, and it goes to show how important a free press is. Even when they report things you don't like or want to hear.

It's a good thing Ward is so well recognizable that they were able to verify she wasn't a spy, because that could have easily gone real bad

Clarissa Ward and her team are one of the most courageous people in the world I know of!!! I wish there is a Nobel Prize for story-telling for those who can't at the risk of their own lives!!!

I’m just a regular white dude from Wisconsin. I like Packer football, cold beer and playing ball with my Labrador retriever.
I’m also voting for Kamala Harris this November.
Let’s restore sanity to the USA 🇺🇸

👍 CLARISSA WARD, you are so brave! The fact that you were the only woman there and, with no privacy, had to limit your food/water intake to lessen the need to relieve yourself really brings the point home about how unsafe it is for women in Sudan.

Clarissa is an unparalleled journalist- and clearly she must have to reconcile herself if she never sees her young children again. Eeek.

The world has so many tragic stories that don’t get told.

Isn’t it similar to what’s happening in Gaza, regarding not allowing journalist in? Of course, in Gaza’s situation, a “democratic” country” is the one who is not allowing the journalists to enter.

Thank God you and the other journalists did not get hurt. The story did get out but not as you imagined. Thank you for your courage and strength. God bless you

The world does not care about Darfur cause it has nothing of value to offer. Geopolitics mate

I read her autobiography. She is a woman who inspires me with her strength, honesty, and her bravery. She's a fantastic journalist, and I admire her tremendously. 🇿🇦

Excellent work, CNN. This is what journalism is all about. Makes me ill when the mini-minded MAGAs hammer

Is there a longer video on this? What happened with the SLM? Was there anything you typically do to identify yourself in this situation? Were these official military members or informal for the conflict?

One of the most courageous lady journalist out there ! Her job is very dangerous, yet important ! The US needs to be on alert, because this specific journalist life may be at risk ! May God all ways be with her, and her guardian angels on the ready to protect her ! Peace ✌️ !
