Automatic railway crossing using Arduino

Automatic Railway crossing is a great and very interesting project. it is also very useful in level Crossing. In our project we are using two sensors for detect the position of Train. when train cross the IR sensor, Controller Circuit will close the gate and when train cross another IR sensor controller circuit will open the gate

Working
Two IR sensors are placed in both side of crossing when train come from one side it will interrupt the IR light, means sensor one is activated and arduino detect this changing and it will close the gate by giving the signal to L293D motor driver.
but in next time when train cross the second sensor arduino will detect the this changing and open the gate by using L293D motor driver.

Interesting. I did not know that you can use a GOTO statement in Arduino. However as you can tell, it makes the code unclear. It can be done without the GOTO. And if you add two sensors on either side direct next to the railroadcrossing you can detect the trainlength and thus keep the barriers down until the complete train has passed.

what is the trick ? u r using 0:32 min analog signal and in the ckt diagram u used digital signal... y?

Hi Manish,

Just watched your video as i was looking for some help on how to build my own set of crossing gates for my model rail layout. Could you possibly help me? i want to control four gates using a servo for each gate, each gate moving ninety degrees. I want to control the gates to shut with a switch and reopen with another switch, i can do all the mechanical side of this but i do not know how to do the programming for it. I have got an Arduino Mega 2560 to control all the bits, would really appreciate some help with the programme if you were able to help me.

Can we fit wifi client in train with arduno there and one wifi server/router with arduno outside, nearby track just 2feet away from crossing, so that gate closes open automatically on basis of arduno bluetooth motor

Bro.. I connected my circuit properly as you said.. I connected my motor through a motor driver and dumped ur program into Arduino but the motor isn't running, not at all responding

Hey I'm working on same project and its not on toy its real but I'm facing a problem if tain is coming from sensor one barrier high; first condition
But if train leave the the sensor one and going to sensor two then how to write a programme becoz here is sensor one is low; and sensor two is low; but we need barrier high;
