The return of the legend! Good to see you back Chris, looking forward to seeing this in action.

I bought one to go alongside my Nokta and it can find a baked bean lid at 70cm depth and it cost me £20 new. So just because a detector has a fancy label doesn't necessarily make it better. Some of the best finds made in Britain were found using inexpensive detectors.

I just got mine and it goes straight into overload. It goes away if I disconnect the coil.
I suspect either the unit is bad or the coil is not trimmed before they potted it up. If I place a small ferrous object in the center of the coil it calms down.
Tried using diff batteries and it doesn't seem to help. Seller asked me to RMA the entire thing and when approved I will have to prove I crushed it and I get a refund. Problem is I want to use it, not wait all summer for a re-order and ship.

He's back👍Metal detectors must be the most overpriced gadget when you think about it. How can a nox be worth £600-800? Look forward to your future vids.👍

Well done Chris! Too many people getting all high and mighty about promoting these cloned machines. Some people simply don't have money to spend on the usual suspects and just want to give it a go and pretending these machines are not out there is not really helpful. I have tested this machine myself and for the price, it works well. Having said that. A used Quest X5 can be picked up for around the same price and that is definitely a better machine.

It good machine. I use minelab go find 66 and equinox 600 before. I sell them and buy tx850 after trying my friend tx850. It good. Cheap.. just not waterproof and use old technology. But it can detect good thing better than equinox 600.

Hi, this is my first metal detector, the coil broke while stored, i am desperate to get going but i cant seem to set it up, so i bought a mars goliath 15" replacement as was recommended as it works well with the the tx850 machine, so i was told by a few sellers. Anychance i can get help to set it up from anyone, PLEASE, thanks.

The TX 850 which was bought for me as a present has been the worse detector I have ever owned since 1979. First problem was the rucksack that came with it, it fell apart after 3 times outings, secondly it is not accurate and end up spending too much time digging, 3rd the lugs holding the coil to the main stem have snapped after 7 outings. Total rip off.

You know I’ve always wondered what happens to the major brand names over seas assets when for instance they move on to newer models or the tooling and manufacturing facilities are deemed “too old” whatever the case I’m sure these people don’t want to lose there jobs or have a perfectly good factory sitting around I mean Garrett and first Texas are only “assembled” in America from global parts and so here we are with a teknetics detector with a Garrett coil lol nothing wrong with that if it works it works that’s all that matters and if you saved some coin Better
