Man I'd jump from this pixel fold to a single screen duo in a second. I'm hoping in sept they announce it and give a idea on when they will release it.

The good thing about a 360 foldable is it could probably use almost all the same software as Duo 2. However, I have a hard time seeing how the 360 foldable has much advantage over other foldables. Duo and Duo 2 have the great advantage of having non flexible screens and thus much more reliable durability. A 360 surely feels like it would be less durable if anything, unless they have some new engineering we aren't aware of yet. I suppose it would be a thinner phone, but having the outer display comes with some pretty big advantages. So I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Thanks for sharing that concept that shows that the foldable screen goes both ways inside and out I think that's is very appealing because if you're just using the one half of the screen in that one configuration instead of having another separate screen that means a cost savings since you don't have to purchase a device that has basically dual screen the inside larger format tablet screen and the exterior screen. So if that's the case then the surface duo 3 could potentially be released at a more competitive price or the cost savings can translate to more features elsewhere. I hope this supports stylus or pen. Thank you for sharing this. I think this might be the device I'm waiting for

When i pick up my OG Duo im still blown away by how bloody Thin it is, and how light it is, ill keep it together with my windows phone 😢

I would love them to just update the surface duo. I prefer the two separate screens.

I would love for MS to make this reality. I still using my Duo 2, but it is worse for wear. It's still very usable, but another significant mishap might ruin that.

If this is made, I need it to maintain the same aspect ratio, wireless charging and better rear cameras, with a smaller bump. Having broken my camera glass, I used the Samsung 23 Ultra camera protectors to put over the lenses. It works just fine and it proves the camera bump didn't need to be as big for the camera sake. I think it was to provide more surface for the back to fold onto and cause less damage, because the pressure will be spread out over a larger area. This would help keep the back of the other screen from getting damage too easily.

If microsoft released the Duo with a full on Windows 11 option, I would consider going back to it. But they also need to add SD storage and better phone and texting support.

I hope you are wrong too. Still finding it hard to move from my duo. Pixel fold is definitely going to be the device I will look to move to when I need to jump as its the only one that hits the due boxes. I also feel a wrap around screen could be the way forward like the Huawei fold did and got amazing reviews when it folded out. Defo love a 360 screen

I would love to have a foldable duo, but would definitely not want to use it in phone mode with the other half of the screen down. It already scratched mine on the fully glass SD2.

Shane do you think Microsoft could announce a Surface Duo 3 or whatever it will be called at their hardware event on September 21st like they did the original Surface Duo where they announced it and was release like a year later? They could have at least a protype to get people hyped about it maybe?

Why not turn the duo into a phone as well while they're making a single screen device. And Microsoft duo can have a fair chance to be popular with the 360 degree folding screen. I think the phone part can make it popular because it's best to go all in rather than making minor adjustments that will ultimately end in failure. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾
