Element5 - SOAHAC - Nshwaasnangong Child Care and Family Centre

The Nshwaasnangong Child Care and Family Centre operated by the Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre is a bright and open CLT and Glulam structure, designed by the architect in the shape of a turtle to "connect with all people living on Turtle Island."

Researchers are discovering that wood can directly contribute to the health and well-being of building occupants so selecting a mass timber structure for this important cultural project was a natural decision.
