Great video, I had the same problem at first as I was behind the camera and the remote wouldn't work. I was ready to head to a store get a new battery. I didn't realize that the sensor was at the front of the camera

Thanks for this video. I learned a lot of these remotes are the same one (just rebranded). You can get them for as low as $1.50 with shipping included. I bought one for my dad and myself ($3 for two).

I bought one of these for my a6000 but didn't use it. Apparently this doesn't work with the a6100 I bought to replace it, but is back in the a6300? Are you sure that's not a a6000, the menus look simpler?

I have a sony a3000 and am using a Pixel Oppilas wireless remote control
that's compatible with my camera, everything is hooked up, and when I
click the button on the remote half way it flashes green along with the
device hooked to my camera flashing green. But when I press fully to
take the photo, both lights go red and nothing happens!
Please help! Must I put specific settings on my camera, etc.?
I have been searching online for hours with no help. Any advice or
suggestions would be so useful!

Sent mine back - does not work for continuous shooting (unlike my canon remote) - still looking for a sensible solution.

Setup is a snap. It works via the IR sensor located on the front of the camera. It is better than the smartphone app as it will support bracketing.

The price is right but the product is quirky. In bright daylight, you must point the unit directly at the sensor. Even then it works maybe or maybe not. Unreliable.
